So as many of you D-Heads know, the anticipation of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been killing you. From the POV videos released, the images of a Commercial being filmed, and even test riders taking their turn on the attraction, one thing is for certain, you want it OPEN. At a height of only 38 inches, it is going to be a truly fun family ride since that height is only slightly over the size of the Barnstormer.
So the bad news is you will have to wait until May 28, 2014 for it to be officially open to the public, BUT this morning on May 2, 2014 it was Officially Dedicated at the Magic Kingdom.
The dedication began with the Dwarfs popping on stage and joined by Tom Staggs, the Chairman of the Walt disney World Parks and Resorts. He continued to discuss how New Fantasyland opened last year and now they are putting those finishing touches to have the area of Magic Kingdom complete for all the magic and fun to happen for years to come.
Tom states that this attraction is the centerpiece of New Fantasyland so it needed to be perfect and the “crowning jewel”.
During the ceremony Snow White made an appearance and she was in full Princess Sweethart mode. As dainty and Princess-like as ever, she continued off of what Tom had said about the area of New Fantasyland. She then searched for a PicAxe and with the help of Dopey, they sealed the deal complete with Fireworks, Sparks of Joy and that little bit of Disney Magic.

Staggs did a fantastic job playing off of the crowd as well. During the ceremony he mentions the date it is set to open and, like any Disney Fan you hate to wait, and some Boos were heard. He then played off how he too wanted it to open right now as well. Handled in true class-act fashion.
