Many times, there are acts, celebrities and more that appear at the Disney Parks. Few times, they are acts that will go on in music history for ages to come. With that, let’s go to a concert I wish I was able to attend (impossible considering I was only a few months old) but Hey, Hey, The Monkees at Disneyland on July 4, 1976, yes that Bi-Centennial Era of Happiness.

The Monkees: Changes

The Monkees: Changes

This was a different time for the group since at this time it was mainly only Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones heading the band. They did albums like ‘Changes’ and such before they all re-joined up in later years. But in finding these gems, sometimes you don’t have to go to far to connect a classic American staple act from their Television Series, to their Music and Disney!

In this show, Dolenz and Jones were joined by Boyce and Hart (hit writers) and even Tork did make an appearance at one point in the show. So take a trip back in time and enjoy those days when Acts ‘Just Appeared’ at parks at times, when you never knew who you would see or hear and enjoy an afternoon of THE MONKEES at Disneyland!
