Shirley Temple: Hollywood’s ‘Little Princess’ Passes Away at 85

So yet another era ends. As we all continue to grow older, many of the stars from my personal childhood are slowly moving on to the next. And it is a sad day as everyone’s “Little Princess” SHIRLEY TEMPLE has passed on.

Shirley Temple Black has passed away at the age of 85 years old. She has been best known as the depression-era star who rose to fame in such films as ‘War Babies’. From there she continued on in many classics and has been known to be the one who saved 20th Century from bankruptcy at the time. Many films are classics like ‘The Little Princess’ and singing many gems we all know like ‘One the Good Ship Lollipop’ which she sang in the 1934 classic ‘Bright Eyes’.

For many of us Disney fans we recall her as a little star handing seven Oscars to a young Walt Disney in honor of Snow White winning. She later went on to be an Ambassador and politics after her star days were complete and behind her.

As time presses on and we lose many of our beloved stars of the past, I hope that we can continue thier legacy by passing them on to our children and young generations to never be lost.

Shirley Temple, you will be missed.
