It’s hard to believe that almost 20 years have passed since Disney brought us The Lion King. As the highest grossing animated movie of all time, until this years’ smash hit, Frozen, The Lion King has proven itself a masterpiece. Just as relevant today as ever, Simba’s coming of age story continues to charm audiences around the world. Whether watching the movie or the broadway production, The Lion King is timeless.
In celebration of this momentous anniversary, Disney Parks will be hosting a brand new special event in Animal Kingdom, called Harambe Nights!
The event will take place this summer from June 7th to August 9th. The evening will commence with appetizers and drinks outside the Festival of the Lion King’s new theatre, and following the cocktail hour will be an incredible show-The Lion King: Concert in the Wild. Featuring a live orchestra, performers, dancers, and a celebrity guest narrator at each performance, the Concert in the Wild is sure to be a breathtaking tribute to one of Disney’s most beautiful stories. After the performance, the night will continue with the Harambe Nights Street Party, including dinner, exclusive entertainment, and magical moments you won’t want to miss.
