DCA: Carthay Circle Restaurant & Lounge

We all love Disney Music. It is what is memorable and what we remember about many of the films and what connects us all to them. And music in the parks is equally as important. From the parades and shows, the to attractions loops and ambient music, it all plays a role. And in many cases they showcase the songs we all know and love in a specific way such as the carousel you may hear Beauty and the Beast or Casey Jr. and in the Disney Gallery you have great classics as YoHo and You Can Fly. These all play a role in the park and our experience.

Well it seems Disney is at it again with the widely popular “Music from Carsland” CD, they have a fantastic new addition coming November 6 with ““The Circle Sessions: The Music of Carthay Circle”> that features some of our all time favorite Disney songs in the dazzling jazz style that was popular in the early era and will be featured in the Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge in Disney’s California Adventure Park.

Being a fan of Jazz, from Louis Armstrong to the “Everybody Want to be a Cat” album that was released some time ago from Disney, this new experience sounds fantastic and really sets a nice laid back, adult mood to these songs. The most fitting is Ev’rybody Wants to Be A Cat, but then again that song lends itself to so many formats. The list of tracks looks like a great one:

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes (from “Cinderella”)
Be Our Guest (from “Beauty and the Beast”)
Ev’rybody Wants to Be A Cat (from “The Aristocats”)
Winnie the Pooh
A Whole New World (from “Aladdin”)
Alice in Wonderland
He’s a Tramp (from “Lady and the Tramp”)
Can You Feel The Love Tonight (from “The Lion King”)
If I Didn’t Have You (from “Monsters, Inc.”)
Married Life (from “Up”)
Some Day My Prince Will Come (from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”)
You’ve Got A Friend In Me (from “Toy Story”)

So as you can see the lineup is dazzling and awesome. This music sets the tone for a nice dinner, and setting as well as puts you into that era, a different place and Disney once again letting you leave to another place in your mind and experience.

Be sure to get your copy before they become hard to find when it hits the Carthay on November 6, 2012.
