The Second annual Tinker Bell Half Marathon took place on January 20, 2013. At 5 a.m. approximately 12,500 women and 1,600 men lined up on Disneyland Drive for the start of this woman focused run. From there runners made their way into Disney’s California Adventure, down Hollywood Boulevard, into Cars Land then around Paradise Bay.
The course then heads into Disneyland Park, down Main Street U.S.A, past Tinker Bell’s home in Pixie Hollow and around the Rivers of America.
The pixie dust fun continued as runners made their way through Downtown Disney, past Disneyland Hotel and then onto the streets of the City of Anaheim where runners were cheered on by bands and cheering squad including the amazing women of the Red Hat Society.
After passing by Anaheim’s Garden Walk runners earned their “wings” and were awarded their Tinker Bell themed medals.
The winner of the race, Angela Escay set a new course record time of 1:24:30.
