To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Splatoon video game for the Wii U console on May 29, Nintendo is hosting one of the messiest events of the year. Disney’s Joey Bragg (of Liv and Maddie) will be one of the celebrities competing on a massive obstacle course inspired by Nintendo’s colorful new action shooter. The course, which will be set up on the famous Santa Monica Pier, will be composed of an array of ink-credible challenges inspired by the game.
In addition to the outrageous spectacle of the obstacle course, attendees will be able to get hands-on time with Splatoon at several game-play kiosks before the game launches on May 29. Radio Disney will also be at the event.
Splatoon is a wild new game from Nintendo that combines the creative and family-friendly fun Nintendo is known for with ink-spraying, turf-claiming action. Starring squid-like characters called Inklings, players compete with each other to splatter arenas and each other with colorful ink, trying their best to cover more turf than their opponents. The game launches exclusively for Wii U on May 29.
