A Trip Back to the Liberty Tree Tavern, 1983 and The Little Patriots Menu at the Magic Kingdom

There are many kinds of Disney fans out there, from movies, Disney Channel, the parks and more. And with that many of us always try to grab those little things that help us remember our experience and trip to the park, from Park Maps, Plastic Bags, Napkins and even in some cases many other “park” items that are unique but actually souvenirs to purchase.

So I take you to the wonderful year of 1983 and the Magic Kingdom. That was a magical era for me since there were only two parks, and remember a small thing called The Disney Village? In looking back one of my favorite restaurants was, and still is, The Liberty Tree Tavern. There was always just something about it that took me to a pollyanna, swamp fox era in feeling.

At that time I was one of those Little Patriots. Chicken Strips, Ice Cream and all kinds of goodies. I do recall this one day in June where my family and I stopped in to eat (again before having to make silly ADRs so many months in advance back to a time when you could just go and eat) and I order some food and upon leaving the waitress walked past and I asked if I could have the Menu. I explained how I loved eating here and love The Magic Kingdom. She then proceeded to hand me one of the menus that I still have to this day in perfect condition and with the copyright 1983 stamped right on it.

How many of you remember this menu and those days of the Kingdom and Liberty Square?
