At long last Disney Cruise Line has released the remainder of the itineraries for 2014 sailings. The itineraries came with a mix of surprise and the expected.

As you may have guessed, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will continue their popular Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral throughout the year with rotating itineraries between Western and Eastern Caribbean and stops at the most popular port of all, Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.

The unknown always revolves around the classic ships, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, as these ships are sized appropriately to fit in more exotic ports, those narrow European channels and even the Panama Canal.

Disney will be setting up two new homeports in Venice (Italy) and San Juan (Puerto Rico). Select Mediterranean cruises from Venice will dock overnight giving you extra time to experience the city.

New itineraries and ports as follows:

Mediterranean from Venice and Barcelona

  • Departures May 31-Aug. 30, 2014
  • Select sailings stay overnight in VEnice
  • New destinations include Katakolon, Rhoses, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini and Corfu, Greece and Catania, Sicily

Caribbean from San Juan 

  • Departures Sept. 20 to Oct. 11, 2014
  • Four cruises to the Southern Caribbean, including a new port of call at Grenada the “Spice Isle”

Alaska from Vancouver

  • Departures May 25-Sept. 1, 2014
  • 7-Night cruises on the Disney Wonder from Vancouver to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska. One special 9-night cruises sails to Sitka, Alaska, a brand new Disney Cruise Line port.
