LeapFrog Entertainment to Join Walt Disney Records

LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc., the leader in educational entertainment, and Walt Disney Records today announced a collaboration to bring Disney music to LeapFrog’s award-winning learning platforms. Disney Princess: Fairy Tale Songs, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics™ and They Might Be Giants’ Here Come the ABCs albums will be available for purchase starting early December.

All the Disney hits will be featured in the “Music” section of the LeapFrog App Center for the #1 kids’ learning tablets, LeapPad1™ and LeapPad2™, and best learning video game systems, Leapster Explorer™ and LeapsterGS™.

“We are thrilled to offer music from the most recognized children’s brand featuring favorite characters such as Mickey, Jake and Rapunzel,” said Greg Ahearn, chief marketing officer at LeapFrog. “Music continues to be an underserved subject area in schools despite the fact that it can benefit many areas of children’s development. Our team of learning experts worked with Disney to select age-appropriate music content that will provide children with hours of fun on our best-selling learning platforms.”
The albums will join the library of hundreds of educational games, eBooks, videos, music and more that have been reviewed and approved by LeapFrog’s highly experienced team of learning experts to be part of the LeapFrog App Center.

“We are very excited to showcase some of our most popular characters and songs on LeapFrog’s top-notch learning platforms,” said Rob Souriall, vice president, marketing at Walt Disney Records. “Disney has been a pioneer in kids’ music and LeapFrog is a pioneer in educational entertainment. Together we are able to offer millions of children the chance to experience the magic of Disney through music on their favorite tablet or gaming device.”
