Disney Photographing Multi-Day Ticket Holders

Disney Photographing Multi-Day Ticket Holders

During the busy holiday season, Disneyland began checking photo i.d. for all multi-day ticket holders. This new policy was developed in an effort to cut down on the number of fraudulent tickets (tickets were being used and re-sold). This problem isn’t new, in fact the very same problem is why Walt Disney World now has fingerprint scanners at the entry turnstiles.

A new policy was implemented on January 8, 2013 that all guests using multi-day tickets are being photographed by a Cast Member upon entry. The photos are electronically linked to your park pass and your photo will be displayed on a screen at the turnstile for a Cast Member to verify upon your re-admittance.

Park goers thus far aren’t thrilled with the new system, which is causing wait times up to 45 minutes for admittance to the park. Hopefully the new system will be implemented quickly and the wait times will be greatly reduced.
