Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America, today announced the launch of its “Next Stop: Tomorrowland” Sweepstakes to celebrate its appearance in Disney’s upcoming feature film, “Tomorrowland,” which will be in theaters May 22. Beginning April 24 through June 5, Disney fans can enter to win a trip for two to Los Angeles for an extraordinary experience that only Greyhound can deliver.

The sweepstakes is part of a larger cross-promotion with Disney for the film. Greyhound will provide customers with a “Tomorrowland” experience by wrapping several Greyhound buses with imagery from the film, and its terminals will promote the film and the sweepstakes. In addition, a custom web page, www.greyhound.com/tomorrowland, has sweepstakes information, the latest “Tomorrowland” trailer and a link to purchase movie tickets. The company also is sponsoring the “Tomorrowland” world premiere inLos Angeles on May 9.

With the forthcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December 2015 and the 10th Anniversary Celebration for the release of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Ciara McAvoy’s wins at the 2015 Communicator Awards for her Star Wars Revenge of the Sith poster are timely and fitting. McAvoy was also bestowed awards for her poster illustrations for X-Men and Filth, for a total of five awards.

With over 6000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals. Disney’s Joey Bragg (of Liv and Maddie) will be one of the celebrities competing on a massive obstacle course inspired by Nintendo’s colorful new action shooter. The course, which will be set up on the famous Santa Monica Pier, will be composed of an array of ink-credible challenges inspired by the game.

In addition to the outrageous spectacle of the obstacle course, attendees will be able to get hands-on time with Splatoon at several game-play kiosks before the game launches on May 29. Radio Disney will also be at the event.

Splatoon is a wild new game from Nintendo that combines the creative and family-friendly fun Nintendo is known for with ink-spraying, turf-claiming action. Starring squid-like characters called Inklings, players compete with each other to splatter arenas and each other with colorful ink, trying their best to cover more turf than their opponents. The eighth release from The Legacy Collection celebrates the 60th anniversary of Disneyland Resort with a 3-disc set, which features classic music from attractions.  The set was produced and compiled by Grammy®-winning producer Randy Thornton.

This release coincides with the Diamond Celebration and will be available exclusively at Disneyland Resort beginning May 20th, with a wide release set for August 21.

The Legacy Collection Disneyland explores the rich past behind songs and attractions past and present. Beginning with the recordings from the opening day of Disneyland in 1955, the collection guides the listener down Main Street U.S.A., through the greatest attractions, shows and lands that exist today and those that are a happy memory.

Discs One and Two cover the lands beginning with Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown and Tomorrowland, plus 5 songs from Disney California Adventure Park.   Disc Three features an additional 12 songs from Disney California Adventure Park, plus music from “The Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Fantasmic!”

The liner notes provide extensive historical background by writer Stacia Martin, a 37-year veteran of the Walt Disney Company and Disney Historian, who oversees special projects for many divisions of the company including Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Records.

The CD cover and 24-page booklet feature newly created artwork inspired by Disneyland from Lorelay Bove, a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios (“Big Hero 6,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Tangled”).  Bove was recently named one of ’10 Animators to Watch’ by Variety (March 3, 2015).

The action-packed Marvel by Her Universe collection consists of stylish dresses and jackets inspired by popular Avengers characters, available in straight and extended sizes. The six piece fashion collection for Hot Topic includes:

  • Stark Industries Bomber Jacket, $54.50
  • Black Widow Dress, $44.50
  • Black Widow Belted Jacket, $64.50
  • Loki Halter Dress, $59.50
