Goings Upcoming Solo Album “Do You Know?”

Singer/Songwriter Genevieve Goings is known to all Disney Channel-watching fans as the hip singing train conductor on the educational interstitials known as “Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve”, remaking Classic Disney sing-alongs, and voicing the learning bumpers featured on the new Disney Junior network.

Goings is releasing the first single from her upcoming solo album “Do You Know?” called “My Telephone Number Is” on April 22. The full album is scheduled for release on June 3, 2014. The album focuses on teaching pre-school FUN-damentals in her funky, cool, kid-friendly style.

A ten-year veteran of children’s entertainment, Goings is now welcoming a second generation of viewers and listeners with the release of her first solo album doing what she does best – teaching and entertaining children with educational lyrics and motivating music.

“Do You Know?” is a new presentation path for learning for young children ages 2-7 years old. It features songs and videos aimed at helping preschoolers learn their phone number, telling time, putting themselves to bed, and the more personal things like hygiene and dealing with potty training in a dignified manner. This new inspiring set of songs is fun for the whole family and will have parents and teachers singing and dancing along.

Pre-orders on iTunes for the album will begin in early May. With the pre-order, fans will receive instant access to the bonus single “Gotta Do My Business”. Goings recently released a free app on iTunes called “Sing with Genevieve”, that provides children and parents a safe link to Choo Choo Soul videos, songs and other children’s projects Goings has been a part of in the last year including the recently released Fisher-Price “Little People” webisodes. Fisher-Price enlisted Goings for their global re-branding of the “Little People” to develop the musical bed, lyrics and recordings that help bring their new webisodes to life, as well as producing six original songs introducing the brand’s new characters. The creative team invested countless hours in the Fisher-Price story room to create the perfect balance between the brand’s storied past and its promising future. One of the most important, thought-out assets during the content development was the music, which Goings wrote, recorded and produced.

Goings can also be seen in the public service announcements for Disney’s newest initiative in partnership with First Book called ‘Give a Book, Get a Book’ on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

United Airlines Sends Chicago-Area ‘Straight A’ Students on a Dream Vacation to Disney World

United Airlines and the James R. Jordan Foundation are sending four straight-A Chicago-area students and their families on the trip of a lifetime Sunday morning as part of United Airlines’ “Family Dream Vacation Program.”

The hard-working students from Chicago’s West Haven and Englewood neighborhoods have earned an all-expense-paid trip to Disney World by meeting the rigorous requirements of the James R. Jordan Foundation’s A-Team Scholar Program and maintaining straight-A’s in all four core subjects throughout the entire school year.

“The determination and focus of these straight-A students are remarkable. Through partnerships with organizations like the James R. Jordan Foundation and others, together we’re able to help inspire the next generation of leaders,” said Mark Anderson, United’s senior vice president of government and community affairs. “At United, we know the importance of connecting people all over the world to fulfill their dreams.”

On Sunday, April 13, the students and families will arrive by limousine at O’Hare International Airport for their first-class treatment, which includes expedited check in at the Global Services lobby. With support from the James R. Jordan Foundation, United Airlines and the United Airlines Foundation, families will enjoy a three-night stay at a Walt Disney World Resort and passes to the theme park. The families will return from their dream vacation on Wednesday, April 16.

The James R. Jordan Foundation is guided by the belief that a strong family plays a major role in a child’s academic success.

Leading entertainment and lifestyle retailer, HSN today announced a multi-film marketing collaboration with Disney Studios for three highly anticipated films, Maleficent, Cinderella and The Hundred-Foot Journey. The three-film collaboration with HSN spanning two years marks the first time that Disney Studios has enlisted an omni-channel retailer for a comprehensive long-term entertainment marketing alliance. HSN brings the spirit of these movies to life through bold, imaginative products from top designers and brands.

In advance of the release of each film, HSN will create content driven retail events across all platforms: TV, online, social and mobile. These innovative shopping experiences will feature exclusive, curated assortments of products from HSN’s fashion, jewelry, beauty and home categories that are inspired by or reminiscent of each of the three films. The first HSN event will take place during the days leading up to the May 30, 2014 release of Maleficent, followed by similar events for The Hundred-Foot Journey in August of 2014 and Cinderella in the spring of 2015.
